This really does have a infrared look to it, Im wondering if it is?
Love the tones throughout the image, the black sky makes it for me..
ps.. due to my Photographic Celibacy I’m trying not to take to much of others works.
but would like to take a moment to thank you for your comments over on my site, they are always much appreciated.
@ dave Thank you for your comment; it was shot in colour and the IF feeling introduced during processing. I like your phrase ‘photographic celibacy’…less is more!
This one really tels a story…
The boat itself, the human presence admiring it and, cherry on your cake, the smoke in the sky, just to “break” the composition.
Super image. In these last 5 boat photographs, this would be my favorite. As said above the sky works so well, it really emphasizes the boat. Those white cloud lines break the black sky tones nicely.
You have exploited the situation very well, playing very well with the angle of perspective offered by the ship.
the photo looks slim to sight, thanks to the linearity of the subject, great work George
Wow, stunning impactful inspirational monochrome George. Fantastic mood, point of view, scale and simplicity of framing… one could write a short story on what there is to like about your image!

Stunning tones George, it’s infrared in it’s tonal references, with apocalyptical post nuclear holocaust sentiments and undertones.

Excellent image and black & white. Still I have to say that is not that great of a place for a boat.
